“It takes a fire to see the angels.”
My father was in a fire back in October and burnt 34% of his body ranging all the way to 3rd degree burns. To ensure he couldn’t feel any pain, they induced him into a coma while he healed. After a few days he started to wake up and interact with us, but the nurses said he wouldn’t remember anything. But one day after they gave him a drug that had about a 50% chance of working, he was staring at the corner of his hospital room. When we asked him what he saw, he nodded when we asked if it was an angel. This tattoo memorializes my father’s ability to overcome months of healing to get back on his feet where he is today, and how such an incident can bring my whole family, despite differences, together to support him.

It’s my second tattoo and first that big. I’m absolutely proud of it and I’m very thankful to the guy who made this for me, Aivaras Lee. I won 1st place in Wroclaw Tattoo Convention with this sleeve and goddamn it felt so good.
The main idea why I’v chose these symbols is still only my business. But I can tell only that a perception of memento mori lies beneath.I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship between me and needles.

Adam DeVine: “I have that shit, I love Southern rap. For whatever reason that just connects with me. I’m like, ‘Yes, no, mama does make crack like this.’ That makes the most sense to me. I’m just a little white kid growing up in the suburbs and I’m like, ‘Yes, mama makes crack likes this.’ ‘What’s that, Adam?’ ‘Nevermind, mom.’
“Basically, I feel like when I started smoking weed and drinking beer, I fell in love with every album. Every album is between 98 and 2003, it’s a real turning point in my life.”
